About this tool
This is IP and ASN-style intelligence built from public network registration data, not from an active network scan or geolocation database; it shows who the address block is registered to, which is typically a hosting company, cloud provider or internet service provider rather than the website's actual operator.
Example inputs: example.comdigitpol.comhttps://api.example.net/status
What the result shows
- Resolved address
- A public IPv4 or IPv6 address the domain currently resolves to, up to four addresses per lookup.
- Network name and handle
- The identifier the registry uses for the address block, often the hosting company or allocation name.
- Country
- The country attribute recorded in the registry record; this is a registration attribute, not a geolocation of the server or any person.
- Address range
- The start and end addresses of the registered block the resolved IP falls within.
- Entities
- Organizations or contacts listed in the network's RDAP record, where published.
Investigation use cases
- Identifying the hosting provider or cloud platform behind a domain's resolved IP addresses
- Checking whether several suspected scam domains resolve to the same network block
- Supporting an abuse report to the correct network operator's abuse desk
- Understanding infrastructure context before deciding whether a site is behind a CDN
Limitations
The country field is a registry registration attribute, not server or operator geolocation, results are limited to up to four resolved public IP addresses, and this tool does not accept a raw IP address directly as input, only a domain or URL.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tell me exactly where the server is physically located?
No, the country field is a registration attribute from the regional registry, not geolocation, and it does not identify a physical address or a person.
Can I paste in a bare IP address to look it up?
No, this tool takes a domain or URL and resolves its IP addresses first; a raw IP is not accepted as direct input.
What if the site is behind a content delivery network?
The resolved address may belong to the CDN rather than the origin server, so the network data describes the CDN provider in that case.
Is the lookup free?
Yes, within daily limits; a sealed, shareable report is a paid or account feature.
Need evidence you can keep?
Every lookup produces a full public-source report sealed with a SHA-256 digest. Accounts keep a saved history and can download the DIGITPOL PDF report.
