About this tool
Because one domain can publish several unrelated TXT records at once, this tool is useful for scanning the full set before deciding which ones matter, such as spotting an SPF record among verification strings for analytics or hosting platforms.
Example inputs: example.comdigitpol.comgoogle.com
What the result shows
- Record value
- The full text string published in the TXT record, shown with surrounding quotes as returned by DNS.
- SPF strings
- Values beginning v=spf1, which list hosts and domains authorized to send mail on the domain's behalf.
- Verification tokens
- Opaque strings used by third-party platforms to confirm domain ownership, unrelated to email security.
- TTL
- The cache lifetime of each record in seconds.
Investigation use cases
- Reading a domain's SPF record as one of several published TXT values
- Checking what third-party services a domain has verified ownership with
- Comparing TXT records between a genuine domain and a lookalike
- Documenting a domain's full TXT configuration for an evidence record
Limitations
This tool shows the TXT records published at the domain apex at query time, it does not evaluate SPF logic such as include or redirect mechanisms, and it does not look up DKIM selector-specific TXT records.
Frequently asked questions
Does this evaluate whether an email passed SPF?
No, it only shows the published TXT record text; full SPF evaluation against a specific sending IP is not performed.
Will this find DKIM records?
No, DKIM records live under selector-specific subdomains that are not known in advance, so DKIM selector discovery is not performed by this tool.
Why do I see unrelated-looking text values?
TXT is a general-purpose record type, so a domain can use it for site verification, security policies or other purposes alongside SPF.
Is the lookup free?
Yes, within daily limits; a sealed report is a paid or account feature.
Need evidence you can keep?
Every lookup produces a full public-source report sealed with a SHA-256 digest. Accounts keep a saved history and can download the DIGITPOL PDF report.
